RENOVATION UPDATES:
In an effort to maintain an enjoyable workout space for all members and guests during renovations please note the following changes effective immediately

•WOMENS GENERAL CHANGE ROOM OPEN AS OF AUGUST 11, 2010
• Womens Wet Area will be CLOSED as of AUGUST 16, 2010
• All selection strength machines, stretching space and some cardio will be temporarily relocated to the gymnasium
• Squash courts will be temporarily closed due to construction. We anticipate reopening the entire area by early October
• Women’s Plus renovations begin July 12, 2010. During renovations women’s plus members are asked to use the Women’s general changeroom.
• Men’s Plus renovations begin week of July 26th.
• Notice to all members and guests. Due to our construction the gym schedule will be changed effective Saturday August 10, 2010. Please note the North side of the gym will not be available on Friday August 9, 2010 and will reopen after the completion of the fitness centre early fall.
• This section of the fitness centre will be closed on Friday August 6th and will reopen in the gymnasium by Monday August 9th, 2010.
• PARKING LOT is OPEN as of Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 4 p.m.
• On Friday, September 3, 2010, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. the weight room in Studio A will be closed due to air duct cleaning.

Where are the funds coming from?
- 1.9 Million Dollar Project, $700,000 Operational Funds, $1,200,000 Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program (Federal and Provincial Government)

Our Existing Capital Deficit
April, 2009 a building audit showed the following immediate priorities:
-Roof Replacement $ 224,000
-Mechanical System Replacement and Upgrades $ 350,000

Renovations and Expansion
-Family change room fully renovated
-Men's and Women’s change rooms: shower area replaced, painted and lockers repaired
-Men’s and Women’s Plus change rooms fully renovated
-Fitness floor from 2900 SF to 6500 SF, new windows, lighting and raised ceiling
-Track is removed
-Atrium reorganized and refreshed
-Most common areas will receive new floors and paint

Time Line
-Early April until Early December
-All program areas where construction occurs will be disrupted
-Area specific timelines are being worked on
-Communication regarding area specific shut downs will be done well in advance
-Your patience and support is very much appreciated
