Centre Branch YMCA - Aquatic Rules

1. Please walk. The floor is slippery when wet.
2. No diving unless instructed by a YMCA staff member.
3. Please wear appropriate footwear (indoor shoes are great!)
4. Please do not bring food or drinks on the deck. Water bottles are encouraged.
5. Please do not use your cell phone or electronic device on the pool deck or in the change rooms.
6. Please shower before swimming.
7. Please tell the lifeguard about any medical concerns (epilepsy, heart conditions, diabetes etc.)
8. All members under 8 need to have a parent or guardian (14 years of age or older) in the pool within arms reach regardless of swimming ability.
9. Any strong swimmer who is 9-13 who would like to swim without a parent or guardian needs to sign in with their parent or guardian, take a swim test instructed by the lifeguard and must have a parent or guardian in the building at all times.
10. That no person infected with a communicable disease or having open sores on his or her body shall enter the pool,
11. That no person shall bring a glass container onto the deck or into the pool,
12. That no person shall pollute the water in the pool in any manner and that spitting, spouting of water and blowing the nose in the pool or on the deck are prohibited,
13. That no person shall engage in boisterous play in or about the pool,
14. The maximum number of bathers permitted on the deck and in the pool at any time.
15. The location of a telephone that is available for emergency use.

Centre Branch YMCA - Dive N'Swim Rules

1. Only ONE person is allowed on the diving board (including stairs) at a time.
2. You are only allowed to walk on the board. Absolutely no running on the diving board because it is slippery when wet.
3. Please only do front jumps or dives off of the diving board. Absolutely no front or back flips or back dives allowed.
4. Absolutely no member or guardian is allowed waiting at the bottom of the diving board for another member (i.e. child).
5. Absolutely no swimming in the section of the pool reserved for the diving board.
6. There must be two lifeguards on deck while the diving board is in use. If a lifeguard needs to attend to a minor or major situation the diving board will remain closed.
