COMMUNITY SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Literacy Based Programs for Children and Families

The YMCA of Western Ontario has partnered with the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) and the London and District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) to provide programming that enhances literacy and social skills in 10 schools in London.

Community School Programs are as unique as the neighbourhood they are located in. YMCA staff, after consultation with school principals will provide programming during school hours and after school. Our programs stress literacy, social skills, problem solving, commuication & cooperation while encorporating the YMCA of Western Ontario's four core values of HONESTY, CARING, RESPECT & RESPONSIBILITY.
