TEAM BUILDING Facilitation / High Ropes / Low Ropes & Fixed Initiatives

The Corporate Adventure program is about building cohesive teams. Outside of a traditional office setting, corporate clients often report that they feel ‘free’ to be themselves; offering ideas and communicating in ways they may not feel comfortable doing at work. The program is designed to ease participants into a progression of hilarious and challenging activities, games, puzzles and high ropes elements, creating a culture of trust, support and laughter through each experience.

Team Building at the YMCA of Western Ontario Outdoor Centre is an exercise in:

Ice Breakers
A typical day starts with icebreakers or a high-energy game to de-stress the group. Setting the tone for the day is important as the atmosphere of “play” is established right off the bat. These are often remembered as a highlight of the day as our clients are forced to think outside the corporate box!

Initiatives & Low Ropes
The group then moves into a series of activities that engage trust, mutual support, physical challenge (adaptable for all!) and creative communication. With Initiatives, the group is faced with physical ‘puzzles’ that require the everybody’s efforts in order to solve. Each person’s input and is needed and valued. Using limited resources, the group may be required to invent a new language, cross a canyon to save an endangered species, or build a tower 20 feet tall. The Low Ropes elements are designed to engage the entire group in physically supporting each other as they balance and wobble their way to success.

Executive Ropes Course
The Executive Ropes courses are over 30 feet high and designed to incorporate spirited interaction with a high impact experience. Regarded as the “peak” experience of the day, each participant will have an opportunity to conquer the Rickety Bridge, or work together with teammates to climb the Team all Aboard for a celebratory trust lean.
