STRATHROY-CARADOC FAMILY YMCA: NURSERY SCHOOL

A program for 2 - 5 yr olds that provides opportunities for children to make choices based on their natural desire to learn new things and become more self-reliant. Emphasis is also placed on learning to get along with others.

At the Strathroy YMCA Nursery School:

-Children are happy and involved
-Staff have a caring attitude
-Centre, equipment and toys are acessible, clean and safe with lots of play materials
-Small groups of children are participating in stimultaing activities with teachers
-Food is nutritionally balanced
-Parent/teacher communication is consistent and encouraged
-Programs and activities for each age group are developed and adapted daily to meet the children's needs and interests
-Staff are good role models and have appropriate training
-Parents have regular feedback about their child through daily contact with staff
